Application Guidelines
The Jeanne Reed Foundation provides financial assistance for
charitable organizations promoting educational, health, and cultural activities
of youth and adults. Currently, all submissions for financial
assistance for such activities must be made in writing and
mailed to the address listed at the bottom of this page.
Geographical scope:
The interest of the Foundation Board is focused primarily
on providing grants for activities in northern Ohio and southeastern
Michigan.
Grant applications must include:
- Name and address of the requesting organization
- Federal Tax Identification Number of the requesting
organization
- Amount of request and contact person
- Copy of IRS letter giving 501(c)3 tax exempt status to
the requesting organization
- Most recent audited financial statement of the
requesting organization (audited)
- Current operating budget
- Current sources of income
- Names and affiliations of Board Members of the
requesting organization
- Names and qualifications of staff
- Annual report or other relevant publications
- A description of the project for which
the grant is requested
- The expected specific use of the grant
- A description of how success of the project will be
measured
Submission deadlines:
Submissions deadlines for grants requests are January 1, April 1, July 1,
and October 1 of each calendar year. However, please do not wait until the grant deadline to submit
a proposal. If more proposals are received than can be handled before
a grant deadline, some may be deferred until a later cycle.
